Immigration Numbers
--- they're OVERwhelming!

Roy Beck's celebrated demonstration of the population consequences of current U.S. immigration policies has entertained and shocked audiences across the country. This video is packed with the facts and analysis that make moral and practical sense of a complex and highly contentious issue.

Cost to Americans

We cannot continue to "assimilate" those who break our laws and feed off taxpayers without increasing the severity of their impact on lowering wages, increasing health costs, educational costs, law enforcement needs, crime, and murder. Additionally, they export money, by the millions, to "their homeland," and are not investing that money back into the communities where they USE UP taxpayer resources.

Stats detail illegals' bill to taxpayers
Daily News | 01/05/2008
[and this is JUST for Los Angeles County!!!]

New statistics from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services show that those in this country, and the county, illegally collected more than $37 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in November, up $3 million from September, said county Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Illegals collected more than $20 million in welfare assistance in November and more than $16 million in food stamp allocations, for a projected annual cost of $444 million.

Antonovich called the figures "an alarming increase in the devastating impact illegal immigration continues to have on Los Angeles County taxpayers."

Interesting Illegal-Immigration Statistics

From the researchers at the Los Angeles Times (June 2002):

  • 40% of all workers in L.A. County are working for cash and not paying taxes.
  • 95% of all arrest warrants issued for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
  • 75% of people on L.A.'s most-wanted list are illegal aliens.
  • Over 2/3rds of all births are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by the taxpayers.
  • Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are here illegally.
  • Over 300,000 illegals are living in garages.
  • The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegals from south of the border.
  • Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
  • Of the 10 million people in Los Angeles County, 5.1 million speak English and 3.9 million speak Spanish.
  • 21 radio stations in Los Angeles are Spanish speaking.
  • Less than 2% of illegals are picking crops but 29% are on welfare.
  • Over 70% of the U.S. annual population growth (over 90% of California, Florida and New York) are from immigration.
  • 29% of inmates in the federal prisons are illegal aliens.
  • The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a negative.
  • They also send about $15 billion back to Mexico annually.
  • It cost Los Angeles $276 million in welfare costs for 100,000 children of illegal aliens.

The above figures are from FIVE YEARS AGO.

Congressional study shows illegal immigrants sap tax dollars
Ty Young | December 18, 2007
Phoenix Business Journal

A study by the U.S. Congressional Budget Office released Tuesday backs up the view that undocumented immigrants sap more tax dollars than they provide, especially in education, health care and law enforcement.

* * *

In education, which the study notes is the largest single expenditure in state and local budgets, multiple states reported 20 to 40 percent higher costs educating non-English speaking students, many of whom come from the homes of undocumented immigrant parents. Using New Mexico statistics from 2004 as a model, education spending on undocumented immigrants comprised $67 million of the state's $3 billion education budget.

* * *

Undocumented immigrants are more likely to access emergency rooms and urgent care facilities because most do not have health care, the study said. In Arizona and other border areas, states paid nearly $190 million in health care costs for undocumented immigrants in 2000, the study reported. The amount, which the study says likely has risen since then, represented one-quarter of all uncompensated health care costs in those states that year.

While the report found that undocumented immigrants are less likely to be incarcerated than American natives, it said states still bear a large cost for the legal process. Based on a report from the U.S./Mexico Border Counties Coalition from 2001, counties from the four states that border Mexico spent more than $108 million on law enforcement activities involving undocumented immigrants. San Diego County in California spent nearly half of that, with more than $50 million going into law enforcement activities involving undocumented immigrants.

CHILLING COSTS OF ILLEGAL ALIEN MIGRATION

The chilling costs of illegal migration reach like an octopus into every aspect of our lives. Illegal aliens displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion dollars last year according to Harvard Professor George Borjas. College and high school kids cannot find a summer job in yard care, landscape, fast food or service jobs. Why? Illegal aliens work them at a third the wage and often, under the table.

Not only do your kids not have jobs; you’re paying taxes for illegal aliens who are not paying taxes.

Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition, our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the War on Drugs each year. It is a war that hasn’t been won in the past 30 years and drugs are as available today to your teenager as they were in 1970.

When an alien criminal gets caught for rape, murder or drug distribution, you pay $1.6 billion annually in prison costs to house, feed and clothe those filling 30 percent of our federal and state prisons—not to mention TV, movies, weight rooms and other entertainment—they enjoy while being incarcerated.

Chagolla said the majority of the group entered near the Agua Prieta port of entry, and paid between $300 and $11,900 each to reach destinations including California, Nevada, Virginia, New York and New Jersey.

"It was an unusual amount,"Chagolla said. "This is one of the largest amounts that we've seen as having been agreed to pay by the co-conspirators."

Breaking the Piggy Bank:
How Illegal Immigration is Sending Schools Into the Red

"The calculation of the number of children of illegal aliens in the K-12 public school system indicates that more than 15 percent of California’s students are children of illegal aliens, as are more than ten percent of the students in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, and Texas. More than five percent of the students are the children of illegal aliens in Florida, Georgia, Kansas, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, and Washington."

Every country has limited resources. We are not the world's provider of these limited resources. Restricting America's precious resources for the use of and benefit for Americans and America's LEGAL citizens is not xenophobia, neither is it racist nor bigotry. What it is: Common Sense!

Murders and Violence Against Innocent Americans by Illegals

More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says
Jim Brown | February 22, 2007

Illegal aliens are killing more Americans than the Iraq war, says a new report from Family Security Matters that estimates some 2,158 murders are committed every year by illegal aliens in the U.S. The group says that number is more than 15 percent of all the murders reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the U.S. and about three times the representation of illegal aliens in the general population.

The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants in the United States

Introduction:

After conducting a 12 month in-depth study of illegal immigrants who committed sex crimes and murders for the time period of January 1999 through April 2006, it is clear that the U.S. public faces a dangerous threat from sex predators who cross the U.S. borders illegally.

There were 1500 cases analyzed in depth. They included: serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides, and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants. Police reports, public records, interviews with police, and media accounts were all included. Offenders were located in 36 states...California was number one, followed by Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, New York, and Florida.

Based on population numbers of 12,000,000 illegal immigrants and the fact that young males make up more of this population than the general U.S. population, sex offenders in the illegal immigrant group make up a higher percentage. When examining ICE reports and public records, it is consistent to find sex offenders comprising 2% of illegals apprehended. Based on this 2% figure, which is conservative, there are approximately 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States.

This translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day. The 1500 offenders in this study had a total of 5,999 victims. Each sex offender averaged 4 victims. This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study.

HOW MUCH FURTHER INTO THIS NIGHTMARE?
Frosty Wooldridge | January 22, 2007

  1. $11 billion to $22 billion spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year.
  2. $2.2 billion dollars a year spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
  3. $2.5 billion dollars a year spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
  4. $12 billion dollars a year spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally.
  5. $17 billion dollars a year spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
  6. $3 million dollars a day spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
  7. 29 percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
  8. $90 billion dollars a year spent on illegal aliens for welfare and social services by the American taxpayers.
  9. $200 billion Dollars a year in lost-suppressed American wages caused by the illegal aliens.
  10. Illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of citizen-taxpayer Americans. Their children make a huge additional crime problem in the United States.
  11. During the year of 2005, there were 4 to 10 million illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border. In addition, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens arrived from terrorist countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border.
  12. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 billion in remittances back to their countries of origin. Obfuscation may have hidden $35 Billion more.
  13. "The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants in the United States."
  14. Every day (average), 12 Americans are murdered by an illegal alien. Another 13 Americans are killed by uninsured drunk illegal aliens, and Eight American Children are victims of a sex crime committed by an illegal alien each day! Local cops, acting in error, sometimes "forget" to annotate nationality on reports. The numbers may be worse.
  15. Today, criminal aliens account for over 29 percent of prisoners in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities and a higher share of all federal prison inmates. These prisoners represent the fastest growing segment of the federal prison population. Incarceration of criminal aliens cost an estimated $624 million to state prisons (1999) and $891 million to federal prisons (2002), according to the most recent available figure from the U.S. DOJ Bureau of Justice Statistics.
  16. "Illegal Aliens and American Medicine," "Many illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American Medicine fought and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue and Chagas disease." The Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.
  17. In 2002, HIV/AIDS was the third leading cause of death among Hispanic men aged 35 to 44 and the fourth leading cause of death among Hispanic women in the same age group. Most Hispanic men were exposed to HIV through sexual contact with other men. Source (U.S. CDC).
  18. If enacted, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S. 2611) would be the most dramatic change in immigration law in 80 years, granting Amnesty to 30 million illegal immigrants, and allowing an estimated 100-203 million persons to legally immigrate to the U.S. over the next 20-40 years - a number equal to fully two-thirds of the current population of the United States.
  19. U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) today unveiled an impact analysis that shows the Senate immigration bill - should it become law - would permit up to 217.1 million new legal immigrants into the United States over the next 20 years, a number equal to more than 70 percent of the total current population.
  20. The number of illegal immigrants in the United States is at least 20 million, and may be as many as 30 million people, more than triple the official nine million people estimated by the Census Bureau. 03 Jan 2005.
  21. Cases of Leprosy on the Rise In The U.S., The New York Times. "While there were some 900 recorded cases in the United States 40 years ago, today more than 7,000 people have leprosy." Leprosy is an airborne virus; it can also be spread by touching and coughing.
One more time.

“Our government” does not seem to realize these Third World satraps are hoisting themslves out of their hellholes on the backs of US citizens.

Hospital to the World Welcomes Illegals & Contagious Diseases
Dr. Madeleine Cosman, Ph.D., ESQ | April 25, 2005

Illegal aliens cross America’s borders medically unexamined. We shrug. We do not know what Illegal Aliens carry in their backpacks. We do not know what they carry in their bodies.

* * *

But Illegal Aliens stop at no medical checkpoint. Whoever walks through our foolishly open Golden Door comes in healthy or sick. If a border patrol sentry catches a healthy Illegal Alien he might be sent back home immediately. However, if we catch and detain a sick Illegal Alien, who after examination by physicians in a detention center proves to have a serious disease, we keep him! Foolish compassion makes us fear that his home country has neither adequate medical resources nor modern wonder drugs. So we release sick Illegal Aliens to the American streets, to infect others if their diseases are contagious, or we place them in our Medicaid program where we pay for their expensive treatments.

Docs journal reports hospitals being closed, previously vanquished diseases being spread

In fact, the increasing number of illegal aliens coming into the United States is forcing the closure of hospitals, spreading previously vanquished diseases and threatening to destroy America's prized health-care system, says a report in the spring issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons....

Wage Suppression

Vernon Briggs, a Cornell University labor economics professor stated:

The toleration of illegal immigration undermines all of our labor; it rips at the social fabric. It's a race to the bottom. The one who plays by the rules is penalized... a guest worker program guarantees wages will never go up, and there is no way American citizens can compete with guest workers.

An amnesty for illegal aliens forgives their act of illegal immigration and implicitly forgives other related illegal acts such as driving and working using false documents. The result of an amnesty is that large numbers of foreigners who illegally gained entry into the United States are rewarded with legal status for their breaking the law. In January, 2004 President Bush Proposed an earned legalization program for illegal aliens. This is an amnesty under another name.

Dr. Donald Huddle, Professor Emeritus of Economics at Rice University, found that in 1997 immigration cost the American taxpayer a net (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay) $70 billion per year, and if current trends continue, the costs for the 1998-2007 decade will be a net $932 billion. Americans are already suffering heavy levels of taxation, much of which is used for social services and related infrastructure costs associated with accommodating the newest members of our society.

According to Dr. George Borjas of Harvard University native born workers lose $152 billion annually because of job displacement and wage depression caused by immigration.
